Landon Gabby,
Illinois Child Representative
Landon Gabby, three-year-old son of Stephen & Kay Gabby of rural Williamson County,
is the proud representative of Southern Illinois at the 55th Annual Telethon of Stars cosponsored
by WPSD-TV6 and area Lions Clubs.
Since birth Landon has had low muscle tone and failure to thrive. He was diagnosed
with LADD Syndrome and began intensive physical therapy at the age of 12 1/2 months.
Landon attends TLC's integrated preschool program full time where he receives
intensive physical therapy as part of his daily program. Landon's parents feel that it is a
true blessing they found TLC where the staff ensures that Landon's special needs are
cared for along with providing him an education and tender loving care. Since he has
been receiving services through TLC, Landon has made a tremendous amount of
progress. His parents describe him as a 3 1/2 year old with a vibrant personality who
enjoys being on the go, fishing with his dad and using his unbelievable imagination to
tell stories.
To see what Landon has accomplished is a great testimony of team effort between the
dedication and love of family and friends and the consistency of such quality therapy
services.
Landon is a true example of what can be achieved when people watch the Telethon and
open their hearts and pocketbooks to support the children who need therapy and
equipment to overcome disabilities and lead happy, productive lives.
Thanks to donations to the Lions Telethon, TLC will have the resources to be able to
continue to provide these much-needed services to Landon and the many other children
served by TLC.
To see what Landon has accomplished is a great testimony of team effort between the
dedication and love of family and friends and the consistency of such quality therapy
services.
